WHO WE ARE

OUR CURRICULUM

Our curriculum is provided in two formats: large group and small group. We write it this way because…that’s how we use it.  We wanted to give the kids different experiences between the two services. The large group lesson contains a small group element, but mostly focuses on large group interactions (of course they can also be used in a small group setting). The small group lesson is used on Wednesday nights and utilizes a room facilitator who leads the service, but the teaching is primarily done within small groups. We split them up by age and gender. Both elementary and junior lessons are organized the same way. We also use the same Big Point, Big Verse, and Big Story with both groups because we believe it’s easier for parents to have a conversation about the lesson if everyone is on the same page. Of course, both are taught in age-appropriate ways

The lessons are not chronologically based. This comes from a practical consideration. If our kids come once every 4-6 weeks, the family considers themselves regular attendees. The lessons are set up so that kids can drop in at any moment and hang with what’s being taught. If context is needed, we always provide it within the lesson itself.
